Un-bunch your panties

It seems as if there are some uptight conservatives in Minnesota who are displeased with the efforts of 'liberals' or as I see them, people who would like to see the facts, and their quest to remove at least some of the distortion in ABC's 'The Path to 9/11' miniseries airing tonight and Monday night on the mouse network.

However, this is no different than the uproar over the Ronald Reagan movie which caused those with man-crushes on the former actor to get their panties so bunched up that they could have beene asily confused with a cotton ball and, in turn, put pressure on CBS to pull the movie. It eventually aired on Showtime to a far smaller audience. All this despite the fact that the film was only 'based on actual events' and did not bill itself as a documentary. I guess, though, in today's dumbed-down, attention span-lacking America, movies which portray actual once-living persons all need to include a disclaimer telling viewers, in black and white, that the film they are watching IS NOT a documentary.

From MNPact
If there were any balance to the conservative message, they would be joining the left in protesting this even greater distortion by ABC.

Oh my God, a sense of reason. Tonight's movie, whether or not it is a work of fiction (it surely isn't being billed as a documentary) needs to at least air a disclaimer so the blindly patriotic among us realize that it is actually a drama. It is a work of fiction pertaining to actual events. The simple fact is, so few actually know the truth to what led to 9/11, no factually orrect movie could ever be made. The path to 9/11 include numerous cover-ups, lies, inaccuracies, secret deals, ignorance and backroom deals but the fault cannot be pinned on any one person. ABC needs to be careful with this movie or the public outcry will be worse than any one country music band could have ever experienced.

But this is like a wet dream for them, isn't it? A way to finally pin the blame on a liberal government? They can finally forgot how badly things were handled by the self imposed king of the world. And blame is what conservatives do best.
One can only hope the moderates are intelligent enough to not watch. The idiots wont educate themselves anyway. - Julie
