Pawlenty's re-election effort to get dirty soon

Apparently, in addition to blatantly lying about his handling of issues, Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty has, by the cover of darkness, blown away the voluntary caps set on campaign spending limits. This means that he can spend as much as he wishes in his bid for re-election. Rather than play fair and follow what all others seeking re-election have done in the past in Minnesota, Pawlenty can now take the millions raised by the likes of George W. Bush and Dick Cheney, among others, in their quest to keep their party in power. Rather than fight a fair fight on campaign finances and actually focus on the issues, Minnesotans will now see dirty-style campaign ads slandering Democratic candidate Mike Hatch.

Do we really want a man like Pawlenty who will stop at nothing to govern Minnesota for another term while avoiding the issues in his advertising campaigns?
