Judge decides to follow constitution

Judge orders halt to NSA wiretap program... That headline caught my attention. Imagine this: a judge with balls enough to stand up to the authoritarian rule of the Bush administration and reading into the constitution to realize that it is actually ILLEGAL to listen to ANYONE'S phone calls without the legal document called a warrant. The British law enforcement used legal means in cooperation with Pakistani officials to thwart what may or may not have been a terrorist plot last week (with lack of evidence, they are setting many of the suspects free) so why does the Bush administration believe they are above and beyond the law? They seem to think that they can pick and choose which laws to obey because we are fighting terrorists. We are fighting them over there so we don't have to fight them over here. Well, if we are fighting them over there, why are we spying over here??? The president's juvenile logic is severely flawed and he finally got called on it. Now if only someone would hold him (and his administration) responsible for blatant disregard of the oldest set of laws our country has.

yeah- it's amazing and not only because it's a chick judge with balls. the other amazing thing is- they get to keep illegally wiretapping anyhoo- because they say so.
