Pawlenty is certainly the devil, and loves cigarettes
(Friday, April 21, 2006)
Minnesota governor Tim Pawlenty is a Grade-A, Certified, Number-One IDIOT. In his pig-headed stance refusing to change ONE WORD in the 'health impact FEE' to make all the associated legal problems with the boost of cigarette prices enacted this past August to keep a campaign promise, he has single-handedly embroiled Minnesota in a legal battle with cigarette companies whose warchest for legal battles dwarfs the gross domestic product of many African countries.
Face it Tim, it was a TAX. Plain and simple, a price increase tacked on to a product that profits a governmental agency is a TAX. By changing one word in what is obviously a tax to keep a campaign promise you have soured Minnesotans on all sides.
With the initial promise of no new taxes at the beginning of your term, you had to know that nobody believes a politician's words. Only an idiot would believe a politician. What harm is there in going back on a promise? You are a politician, we EXPECT you to lie, embezzle, philander and generally be corrupt and no good.
Do it. Call it a tax. Make the legal problems vanish. Go back on your word. You know that deep in your dark, muddy sould that you want to call it a tax and ride off into the sunset on the back of the devil himself as you proudly hold your pitchfork high in the air and your infantile horns glisten in the late afternoon glow cackling wildly 'Tax, tax, tax' in a throaty voice that has an unmistakable inflection of evil.
