Pat Robertson crazier than previously thought

That crazy old coot Pat Robertson was back at it again yesterday calling out the critically ill Israeli leader Ariel Sharon.

But what did the '700 Club' evangelist and Baptist minister actually say?

"Sharon was personally a very likable person, and I am sad to see him in this condition, but I think we need to look at the Bible and the Book of Joel. The prophet Joel makes it very clear that God has enmity against those who 'divide my land,' " Robertson said.

Sharon was "dividing God's land, and I would say: Woe unto any prime minister of Israel who takes a similar course to appease the E.U. [European Union], the United Nations or the United States of America," the 75-year-old Baptist minister said.

Of course, this is the same man that in the previous year has called for the assassination of the president of Venezuela and supported the government interfering in the living will of Terri Schiavo.

Luckily, for the faltering White House, they denounced his comments. But only after thinking about it for a day.

Between this and all the other smiting Pat's been doing on behalf of God lately, it makes me think that Sharon isn't the only one with an arterial flow problem.
