Friday's iPod Random Ten, December 24, 2005 or a Christmas briefing

Yes, I know that it is neither Friday nor was December 24, 2005 a Friday (it was a Saturday). It was, indeed, a Saturday (See, I just told you...). However, it was the last time I (by I, I mean we) actually had the time to listen to ten consecutive songs via our iPod. It happened on our trip home from my parents' (Mary's in-laws, 'cause we're married, see?) farm 'down by Iowa'.

It's also a couple days late because of Christmas and the associated holiday gatherings where we received rather practical items which we needed -- one of which, when combined with others, (ahem, gift cards) purchased us a much-needed kitchen window to replace what must be a fifty-plus year-old one in dire need of going the hell away. After all was said and done we had received two brand-spankin'-new vacuums, a chest freezer and a varied assortment of other given bounty.

Finally, without further ado, the iPod Random Ten.

Modest Mouse - The Ocean Breathes Salty
Weezer - Slave
Meat Loaf - Two Out of Three Ain't Bad
Poe - Not a Virgin
Dr. Dre - Forgot About Dre (feat. Eminem)
8stops7 - Satisfied
311 - Come Original
Incubus - Drive
Marty Casey (from Rockstar:INXS) - Trees
Stereophonics - Maybe Tomorrow

Oh, don't worry. I still have tons of year-end lists to deluge you with for the next week or so.
