Comic strip brought to life

Sunday night marks the debut, on Cartoon Network's 'Adult Swim', of America's favorite and likely only black comic strip to cartoon adaptation. It also happens to be the most costly the network has ever dealt with.

The racially-charged, often political cartoon 'The Boondocks' begins its run on November 6. Will it be a hit along the lines of 'Family Guy' whose huge (by Adult Swim standards) ratings prompted FOX to give it another shot on Sunday nights. I believe, locally, it airs at 10 PM so I will definitely give it a shot but it will be hard to hear another voice, besides my own, speak the lines of Huey and Riley. They hold nothing back from criticism of Bush and Condoleeza Rice to rapper 50 Cent. Luckily, if it doesn't last, the strip is still seen locally in the Star-Tribune.
