Belated thanks to Canada

It only took three years, but Bush has thanked Canadians for their help after the 9/11 attacks. It sickens me that he has taken this long, and is only doing it to keep the flow of oil coming from their country to support our wasteful habits.

In the day of 10 m.p.g. SUVs and H2 Hummers clogging the nation's highways, I guess we better kiss some Canadian ass being that they are the largest foreign supplier of American oil. Gotta keep us Americans sucking on the petroleum teat. God forbid we become independent and are able to use ethanol, solar and hydrogen power to support our energy needs.

I think it is just dandy that Bush is finally trying to repair foreign relations. He has even managed to start in the spot closest to home. Maybe he will actually rebuild alliances. Not likely, though.
