Dirty politics in Minnesota

The most despicable thing to do is to send something both anonymous and hateful to someone with opposing views. Though many area political signs supporting both Democrats and Republicans have been vandalized to varying degrees not just in Minnesota but throughout the country, what happened this week is downright disgusting.

Many Kerry supporters this week, in Golden Valley in particular, received hatemail disguised as Rosh Hashannah greeting cards. This act is both spineless and hateful. I hope that the person who is responsible for this is brought to justice and punished with more than just the typical slap on the wrist.

In a year when a heated presidential election is on many people's minds, there is no room for this sort of mudslinging. Just like in a boxing prize-fight, keep it clean.

It just goes to show you that it is more important now than ever before to get out on November 2nd and vote.
